I was attempting something else entirely when I ended up with this crepe paper flower garland (don’t you love when that happens?). I think it could work really well as a homemade lei or flower crown as well. To make one or your very own, just follow the simple instructions below.
Cut 3″ circles out of crepe paper. Layer three circles on top of each other, fold in half and twist in the middle so they stay connected together. Carefully poof the layers of paper to make a flower look. Use a needle and thread to string together. Very simple but if you want to make several strings, it’s time consuming so pop in a movie while you’re doing it.

I am in love! I want that hanging in my house every day so I feel like it is a party!
I agree, this would be fun to hang in the house everyday!
eeek!! Love this!! Thinking this is going to be for my daughter’s party next weekend!!
I’m adding this to the decorations for a bridal shower I’m planning! The wedding colours are black and white so this looks like a whimsical way to make those colours a little more summer – ish. P.S. I own that white dress! It’s one of my favourites.

Beautiful!
There are plenty of reasons out of which few can be figured out quite easily. Another thing that matters is the body structure. One thing might highlight a good feature for one and a not so good or some other good feature for another.
I love this! I am wondering if you used a special tool to cut the 3 inch circles? DId you just use scissors? Is that why I need a movie? lol
You can buy the tissue circles at Oriental Trading, very cheap.
I made this with the papers that the Christmas oranges come in. Once I folded them I cut off the corners and then tied the ends of the string together so it made a ball. I’m going to hang them at different hights outside our front door for my daughters birthday party. I’m doing this in stead of using balloons since they tend to pop before the party is pver.

I’m going to try this. I attempted making giant paper daffodils and it was a mess. I hope I have more success with this one.
