real party: modern houndstooth party

April 5, 2011

We were thrilled when photographer Julie Harrell sent over this really lovely houndstooth-inspired party she put together for her daughter’s second party.   We just love the design, colors and all of the handmade elements Julie created.  So creative and original.

Julie designed the invitation (which is also available for download on her blog!).

We think the big print in the background is such a fun touch!  And how adorable is the birthday girl in her special dress? To keep costs down, Julie handmade a lot of the details, including these super fun streamers (inspired by Jordan Ferney!).

We love these marshmallows — so easy but so fun and festive!

And super cute handmade, personalized favor bags! For more details, resources and photos — see Julie’s blog.  Thank you so much for sharing, Julie!
