real party: french cafe party

January 18, 2011

Get ready for this week’s beyond cute party — its a French Cafe themed party by Darcie of Pink Peach Cakes.  The party was for Darcie’s son’s first birthday.

We adore all of the sweet, handmade touches that Darcie made to make this party special.  She made the invitations and the yellow stripe awning out of butcher paper.  Darcie also asked guests to dress in stripes and berets – we love that!

She also covered a wall in butcher paper and drew frames on it with a sign the read “The Louvre” for the kids to draw on.  For the favors Darcie made Eiffel Tower chocolate pops out of a chocolate mold.

Aren’t the cakes adorable?  See more of Darcie’s work here. So many fun but easy-to-do details.  Thanks, Darcie, for sharing!

Beautiful party! I love the louvre picture frames and the cakes. (P.S: looks like the party was for her daughter, not her son)

It’s rare when I come across a party theme that I haven’t seen before, but you did it with this French Cafe party! I could see this working for a bridal or baby shower or teen girl birthday as well! Great job!
