holiday details

December 7, 2010

Since we’re well into December we thought we’d share some holiday inspiration instead of a real party today.  A big thanks to Anders Ruff Custom Designs for sharing today’s post with us!  Lots of holiday inspiration and DIY goodies to share.

How fun and festive is this blue winter wonderland?  We love that all of the paper details are available for download in the Anders Ruff Etsy shop.

This might be our favorite detail – little pretzel and white chocolate wreaths!

And we’re loving the simple and sweet wintery cupcakes and edible snowflakes (available here!).

Here’s another festive spread – we love the classic red, white and green!  See the full details from this fun display here.

We love this peppermint tree and we’re happy to share DIY instructions for this sweet little tree.

Peppermint Tree

2 Bags of Starlight Peppermints (Classic red and white or they are available
in green/white and other colors)
1 Styrofoam Cone (any size that you want the finished “tree” to be)
Hot Glue Gun (if age appropriate) or Fast Drying Glue

1. Unwrap the peppermints
2. Start with a peppermint on top – add a dab of glue to one side of the
peppermint and adhere to the tippy top
3. Work your way down by adding peppermints all the way around the cone,
trying to leave as little white “styrofoam” showing as possible.
4. Optional – you can add a bow or ribbon to the top for an extra

Thanks to the talented ladies of Anders Ruff Custom Designs for sharing today’s holiday goodness!  [go here for full list or resources]

Dear Suann and Team, thank you SO much for the opportunity to be featured today on Hip Hip Hooray! We have some great *free* printables on our site, including a “You’ve Been Elfed” sign (same idea as “You’ve Been Booed”)! We would love for your readers to stop by our blog at http://www.andersruff.blogspot.com

Love the peppermint tree! My daughter & I made it (even added a gold star on top & a gold ribbon around the bottom) for her 4th bday party yesterday! Thank you – love your blog!
