Jurassic Jaden: Invitation

July 8, 2010

Yesterday Maria shared with us a sweet dinosaur-themed birthday party and now here are the details of the invitation!

The invitation was mailed in a simple mailer box and included wood shreds (too look like a nest!), a magnifying glass to read a special little message and a map with the party details.

Kid-friendly magnifying glasses were purchased from here and lined with scrapbooking paper in the birthday girl’s favorite pink.  A little message that read “Join us for Jaden’s Big Dig” was tied to the magnifying glass.  The local craft store or Paper Mart is a great resource for wood shred.

The party details were just included on a simple Google map (turned into black and white to give it a fun vintage look!) and then glued to the inside of the lid.

And then coordinating labels were created and glued to the top of the box. We love the way this invitation is creative but affordable and gives party goers a fun idea of what to expect!  Next up is a DIY on the canvas lunch bag.
